Solar is the brand name for a suite of technologies and services supporting the use of technology to enhance the delivery of assessment within SQA's Qualifications.

Solar continues to develop and make available an increasing number of summative and formative e-assessments based on banks of quality-assured question items.   These e-assessments cover a range of qualifications from National Certificate to Higher National Diploma (HND).

To undertake an assessment, within centres that have completed training, select Solar e-Assessment on the left hand menu.

To access the latest up to date list of available assessments select Available Assessments from the menu on the left. To view new training dates for centres interested, if available, please select Training from the menu on the left.
