SOLAR Training

To reduce the burden of releasing staff for training days and enable all centres to access and use the full features of Solar, SQA has produced a wide range of interactive web-based training and support materials. The materials cover all of the main features of the Solar administration and delivery system.

To access these materials select Training Materials from the left hand menu.

Information for New Centres
If you are an SQA approved centre without access to SOLAR, we request that you familiarise yourself with the functions of the system using our training materials and then complete and submit the proforma provided. This should be submitted by email to solar@sqa.org.uk . We will then create your centre within the SOLAR system and your login details will be emailed to you.

Please check with the List of approved centres trained to see if you already have a centre administrator**, as these people are able to provide training and to set you up onto the system straight away. (Some centres may have more than one person already trained)

The materials produced here support the key functions and activties within SOLAR but if you do not see an area listed that you feel you require help with, please contact the SOLAR support team on solar@sqa.org.uk or call 0303 333 0330.
